Read MoreNorthumbria University and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art have joined forces to create a prestigious new facility for contemporary art, research and education in the vibrant heart of Newcastle upon Tyne. Our Master of Fine Art programme is situated in the new award winning BxNU Institute of Contemporary Art at BALTIC 39.
The two-year MFA is unique. You will be taught by internationally active artists, engage with collaborative events led by BALTIC Professor Christine Borland and participate in a dynamic post-graduate studio culture enhanced by BALTIC’s curatorial staff.
For the academic year 2015/16, there are two BALTIC Scholarships worth £3,000 towards the cost of the full-time MFA.

The first cohort of BxNU MFA students will display their work in the Graduate Exhibition: Milkilling. These eight practices (one collaborative, in addition to the work of two individuals) have been forged in the early years of a new course, a new building, a new partnership.
