East Gallery NUA, Norwich
There is still time to take a look at the extraordinary body of photographic works by Claude Cahun in our new East Gallery NUA until 9th January 2016.
From 26th January – 18 March 2016, Norwich University of the Arts and Karsten Schubert Fine Art, London are delighted to be able to present an exhibition of works by the renowned sculptor Alison Wilding and highly respected painter, printmaker and author, Tess Jaray.

Firstsite and Art Exchange, Colchester
Listening, a Hayward Touring exhibition, has just opened and is now on show until 14 February 2016. Curated by Sam Belinfante, Listening is an exhibition that brings together a group of international artists to interrogate the act of listening in contemporary art, presented across both venues – Art Exchange and Firstsite.

“The dilation of tension, hot, which in the refrigerator is slowed to become hotter. The one scene you wish to be repeated ad infinitum, with the ambient sound turned up 200 per cent. The inside of a mouth, the hand on desk, fabric rubbing as leg crosses left over right: it's deafening. The minister eats a sandwich, advises you on your sore back, takes a drink of water, surrenders. Hold; hold a bit too long; hold to the point where you wonder if you’re watching a still frame–and then it moves. Cinematic technique on the level of loafing...subtract labour, keep duration. The terror of the screen gone blank, and the trust that you have always given to theatre experience, which, without breaking the silence, promises the image will return.”

Wysing Arts Centre Open Call for residencies
As part of Wysing's 2016 programme, Wysing Poly, we are offering residencies across three periods, each lasting eight weeks.
We are looking for artists, at any stage in their careers, who can bring alternative cultural perspectives to Wysing Poly, who will embrace the ethos of learning and who will be willing to run study days, and participate in events, as part of our public programme.
