Is Turning Point Network working? Read the interim evaluation report and find out...

In 2008, Annabel Jackson Associates was set the task of evaluating the Turning Point Network pilot project, in order to determine whether a national network of of this kind would help to realise the Turning Point mission: the strengthen the visual arts.

This image is taken from the Social Media Analysis section of the report, and illustrates the working relationships that exist across the network

Annabel's interim report has just been published, and the process of disseminating the story, and the learning so far began at the second national Turning Point Network event at Towner, Eastbourne last week.

You can download the interim report today, and we welcome your comments and feedback. If you have a view to share, or a comment to make then please use the comments sections directly below this post.

Working smarter in a time of crisis

Thanks to everybody who came this session at the national conference.  I hope that you found it worthwhile - I certainly came away with some food for thought.

As promised here is  a copy of the handout and a summary of the outputs (with apologies if I have misread anyone's handwriting).

What I took away from the session was that

  • there is quite a lot of sharing and collaboration going on already, much of it informal.
  • there are some models of good and innovative practice which deserve to be more widely shared
  • there would be value in a couple of well documented pilots which could explore some of the issues raised around which services could best be shared, the role of freelancers, the cost question for small organsiations etc

Thanks for allowing me to set a personal best (56 people in one workshop!)

Susan

Five levels of collaboration

I really wanted to talk about models of collaboration in my workshop tomorrow but in an hour there simply will not be enough time so I have settled for posting up some slides here instead.

What I like about this way of thinking about collaboration is that it makes clear how many different forms of collaboration there are.

Hope it helps

Susan
