Trust New Art, the National Trust's programme connecting people to our places through contemporary arts are looking for an artist or designer to work closely with them to imagine a long term vision for a major orchard restoration project on the Brockhampton Estate, Herefordshire from 2017 to 2020 and beyond.

This vision is to manage the land for wildlife and nature whilst still maintaining a beautiful and productive landscape for visitors. They have identified that 21 acres of orchards to the north and east of the manor house were lost in the 20th century alone.

By working with an artist, they want to go far beyond a simple replanting scheme.  They want to tell the story of the fruit which has been embedded within the estate for centuries.

Deadline for expressions of interest: Sunday 3September 2017.
