Green Man Festival invites artists working with light and/or digital technologies to submit expressions of interest to participate in a week-long R&D residency at the music festival, with a view to artists submitting proposals for a number of commissions at Green Man 2018.

Green Man commissions are situated outdoors in the natural environment of a pine copse or within the temporary city that constitutes the festival site.

Artists will be in residence throughout the build and break period at the festival from 14-21 August 2017 gaining first-hand experience of installing work outdoors on a working event site.

Each artist will shadow an exhibiting artist from the 2017 programme, helping them to install work. Artists will form a peer group and attend a structured programme of talks and discussions led by curators and producers throughout the live days of Green Man 2018, camping together on-site in Wales.

£500 fee and subsistence, supported by Arts Council England.

Deadline: Midnight, Wednesday 28 June 2017.

More information on the residency can be found here.
