YVAN - Nourish 2017 Curatorial Commission

The Yorkshire and Humber Visual Arts Network (YVAN) seek an artist/s, arts organisation or collaboration to help curate Nourish 2017, their programme of conversations with the visual arts sector, that will take place at the Humber Street Gallery in Hull on 30 September, the first weekend of the Turner Prize exhibition in Hull, City of Culture. They are looking for someone to give it a unique look; feel, a few surprises, and make it fun too!
The aim of Nourish 2017 is to start a discussion with the region’s artists and visual arts organisations on matters of common concern and to find common approaches to opportunities and issues.
The commissioned work will include:
- Proposing a curatorial concept for the event, including structure and design, to be agreed with Programme Manager.
- Incorporating and collaborating in the presentation of the YVAN ReRooted/Nourish 2017 Commission.
- Creating promotional graphics and style.
- Dressing the event space.
- Sharing in delivering the event – you will be an integrated part of the team delivering Nourish 2017.
