PLAYING UP – THE LAUNCH
TURBINE HALL, TATE MODERN
FRIDAY 1 & SATURDAY 2 APRIL / 12.00 – 19.00
SUNDAY 3 APRIL / 12.00 – 18.00
PLAYING UP is a game, a public play in and a symposium. Created by Sibylle Peters, it is an artwork that explores the potential of Live Art to bridge generations.
PLAYING UP is a collaboration between Theatre of Research, Live Art Development Agency (LADA) and Tate Early Years and Family Programme.
You can come as a team or on your own. Children Guides will welcome you at the PLAYING UP desk, introduce you to the game, and set you up with all you need to play up yourself: Explore Live Art as a cross-generational adventure! Follow the instructions, invent your own piece of Live Art, and perform it in the Turbine Hall!
The launch is devised by Theatre of Research and guided by students from Wapping High School. It is produced by Tate Early Years and Family Programme in collaboration with the Live Art Development Agency.
