Art Is… a day devoted to dialogue, discussions and ideas. This event is focused on thinking about the relationship between art and education and the social function of art. Hosted by the Freelands Foundation the day will feature a variety of talks, presentations, provocations, films, conversations and performances that address some of the key issues facing art, education and society today. Including Michael Craig-Martin, Mark Wallinger, Amila Ramovic (from Ars Aevi, Sarajevo), Alistair Hudson (MIMA), Caro Howell (Foundling Museum), Peter Liversidge, “Fully Awake” (a documentary about Black Mountain College), Room 13, The Big Draw, and many more.
