A one-day symposium that brings together prominent policy-makers, artists, researchers and health professionals to explore the role of conceptual and empirical research in understanding the cultural sector’s impact on people’s health, wellbeing and social connectedness.

The symposium will:
• disseminate recent findings from academic research and case studies carried out in East Sussex, Kent and internationally
• explore the wider benefits of cultural activity on people’s lives and communities
• inform debate and planning about potential future research projects for local authorities, cultural organisations, the health sector and other strategic partners
