Opportunities at The Festival of Thrift
/The Festival of Thrift takes place in Kirkleatham, Redcar from 22 - 23 September 2018. A weekend of activities designed for all the family, showing how to save money, live a rich and creative life and also how to live sustainably with style.
For the first time, with support from Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) Festival of Thrift is inviting artists to propose public artworks for a wider programme outside of the festival dates.
The Festival is currently commissioning/programming 3-5 pieces within a budget range of £2,000 – £10,000 per piece. The commissions are intended to extend across the Tees Valley and to raise awareness of issues around sustainability. Proposals can be for new commissions, existing works or adaptations. The works selected will be sited in accessible locations in the Tees Valley, and open to the public from 20 August for one week. Deadline: Noon, Monday 19 March 2018.

Festival of Thrift are also currently recruiting a Public Art Producer to co-ordinate the delivery of their Viewpoints Public Art Programme (from February - September 2018). Deadline: Noon, Monday 5 February 2018.
