On Saturday 16 September Corridor8 are holding an Art Writing Workshop and Publication Launch at Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces: Great Northern Tower, Manchester.

Art Writing Workshop
Saturday 16 September 2017, 12 – 3pm.
Prices: £6.40 Standard / £3.40 Castlefield Gallery Associates.

This discursive event organised in partnership with Castlefield Gallery and The International 3 is designed to explore the practicalities of art writing in organisational and collaborative settings, with presentations by established writers Ellen Mara De Wachter, Michael Birchall and Corridor8’s current Writer-in-Residence, Iris Priest. A panel discussion and Q&A will cover a number of topics crucial to having work published in the art world, such as identifying relevant contexts in which writing can be developed, how to foster collaboration between emerging artists and writers, and how to approach different types of organisations to propose other collaborative ventures. The workshop will conclude with the opportunity for attendees to participate in smaller group discussions with the speakers to discuss any other topics in further detail.
