Turning Point West Midlands is pleased to announce that 31 artists have been selected for the fifth annual New Art West Midlands exhibitions.

Works were selected from graduates at BA, MA and PhD levels who studied at the five university art schools (Birmingham City, Coventry, Staffordshire University, the University of Wolverhampton and the University of Worcester) and Hereford College of Arts.

The aim of the exhibitions is to profile the best work with a Fine Art emphasis – in sculpture, painting, photography, mixed media, installation, digital media, video/film art, live art/performance – emerging from the university art schools in the West Midlands and offer new visual arts graduates a high quality professional development opportunity.

For the 2017 edition, artists were selected by Jason E Bowman, Angela Kingston and Barbara Walker.

The exhibitions will be shown across four venues (Waterhall Gallery, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery; mac Birmingham; Wolverhampton Art Gallery and Worcester City Art Gallery) from 18 February 2017.

Information on the selected artists can be found here.
