BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art is delighted to announce BALTIC 39 I FIGURE FOUR, the fourth iteration of an open submission exhibition held at BALTIC 39. The exhibition is an opportunity for artists working across all media to test works and ideas, or to develop works in progress within a public context.
Proposals that demonstrate an immediate benefit to the development of recent work or works in progress will be prioritised. Only work made during the past twelve months (November 2015 – present), currently in progress, or made for (or during) this exhibition will be considered. The exhibition will last for 5 weeks and will be made up of 10 projects by 10 artists, each lasting 5 days. Each artist will be assigned one of the two galleries at BALTIC 39. There will be a two-day turnaround between each exhibition.
The exhibiting artists will be selected by Katie Hickman and Katharine Welsh.
This opportunity is open to all artists, except those currently studying on undergraduate and postgraduate Masters programmes.
More information on the opportunity can be found here.
Deadline: 11.59pm, Monday 21 November 2016.
