March of the Modern Makers Report Out Now

The Institute for Public Policy Research's new report into ways of building an industrial strategy for creative industries is out now.

Entitled March of the Modern Makers, the report highlights the particular strengths and comparative advantages of the UK’s creative industries, and outlines how a more co-ordinated and concerted approach to government policy could help realise the UK's full potential as a world leader in creative content.

The core of the report is a 10-point plan for the creative industries, which looks at ways the current growth can be nurtured and strengthen across the UK, by supporting investment, developing employer-led training programmes and ensuring that infrastructure is ready for the digital age.
