YVAN Yorkshire, Humber and East Lincolnshire Artist Development Fund Announced

The Yorkshire and Humberside Visual Arts Network (YVAN) is pleased to announce the YVAN Artists Development Fund. The fund has been established to offer small bursaries to Yorkshire artists to support the creation of new work or professional development.

Who: professional visual artists working in Yorkshire, the Humber and East Lincolnshire. We regret that students in full time education cannot apply.

When: the deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday the 30th of March 2014. Bursary holders will be asked to complete a one page evaluation report and attend an evaluation meeting on completion of their project.

Funding: artists can apply for part or all of the cost of their project up to a maximum of £500. The awards will be selected by regional visual arts professionals. Any additional funding made or sourced towards the cost of the project by the artist will be taken into account when assessing applications.

What are we looking for: the YVAN Artists’ Development Fund is a research initiative. There are no set restrictions on what type of project artists can propose. One of the purposes of this programme is to help ascertain the needs of artists in the region.
Full application guidance can be downloaded from www.manthorp.co.uk/downloads as a doc file or pdf.

Applications should be emailed to Steve Manthorp at steve@manthorp.co.uk by midnight on Sunday the 30th of March 2014. Any queries about the application process should be made to the same address.
