At this free event, attendees will be able to hear from groups whose conversations have received support from CVAN East Midlands’ (CVAN EM) collaborative conversation project, The Start of Something, as they reflect on their progress so far and their future plans.

As part of their new season of Artist and Curator Development activity, New Art West Midlands are programming a series of Away Days for those within the West Midlands to visit galleries, studios and other visual arts venues both in the region and beyond. The first of their visits is to The New Art Gallery Walsall.

An evening of conversation about curatorial research, exhibitions and performance projects being developed by three freelance curators from the West Midlands.

An afternoon of discussion that seeks to unravel how and why certain cities have become recognised as centres for the Art Market as well as exploring what kind of Art Market centre Manchester, and the North West, currently is / can become.
