Visual Arts Working Together

  • Southbank Centre London SE1 8XX (map)

Following recent interest and discussion around the Rebalancing Our Cultural Capital report and current Commons select review into the work of Arts Council England, the Visual Arts London Strategy Group (a member of CVAN) would like to initiate a national conversation within the visual arts sector about how we can work together more effectively and creatively as a sector, with a focus on developing and enhancing inter–regional partnerships.

We are keen to have a day of conversation where we can explore ways to share resources and knowledge as well as maximising our current investments and partnerships. Topics may relate to audience development, touring partnerships, working internationally, sharing resources, co-commissioning, etc.

We see this as a practical day of discussion where the content will be driven by those attending, raising topics for discussion that matter to all of us and finding practical solutions that enable a better joined up sector. The day will consist of a mixture of keynote talks, breakout sessions, and trade fair-style exchanges to enable everyone to engage in conversation. We will be asking you in the run up to the event for suggestions about topics for discussion.

For information about registration please contact your regional Coordinator.
