Successful fundraising and generation of new income sources calls for clear leadership and strategic management. In this course, participants will learn to be clear about their organisation’s mission, evaluate assets and points of strength, identify potential partners, and focus on ethics and brand values. Trainer David Dixon will discuss how to mobilise resources, prioritise and manage multi-year investments, develop stakeholder and staff relationships and bring the whole organisation and its supporters to new ways of thinking. Technical areas covered include recruitment of high-level volunteers, team management, creating strategic narrative, identifying and managing risk and capitalisation. The course will include case studies and participants will be asked to share their own experiences and ideas and to grapple with exercises in teams

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Develop and refine a clear organisational mission, strategy and brand
  • Recruit high-quality volunteers appropriate to your organisation and goals
  • Manage a team effectively to achieve the goals of the organisation
